What counts as a "successful decode" for billing?
Successful decode means the VIN was decoded and OEM factory data was returned. Unsuccessful decodes are not billed.
How fast is the decoding?
Manual lookups return results progressively. API is asynchronous; typical end-to-end latency is ~25-30 seconds (depends on OEM).
What is an "OEM build sheet" in simple words?
It is the factory configuration of the vehicle — what it was built with (options, packages, codes, specs), not what happened to it later
Is there a free option to test it?
Yes. You can decode 1 VIN for free without registration. After registration, a free trial includes 3 VINs manually and/or 50 VINs via API.
